Maximum depth: 16m/ 50ft
Also close to Tulum, Calavera is basically a hole in the ground with the water level about 3m / 10ft lower. The cavern line goes in varying depth in a circle around and touches in and out of the halocline. One round is dived in 25 min only so the rest of the time, we spend exploring shallower and close to the surface. In the salt water the visibility is clear whereas the fresh water mostly is a little greenish which adds to the halocline effect. The stone in the deepter parts is pure white limestone and shallow we can find some pretty cute stalactites.
