I learnt diving quite late with 33 years and in the lakes of Bavaria and did all training until instructor while I still was working in my “normal” office job. I have a degree in business administration, a qualification to train trainees on the job and another degree as a foreign language assistant/ translator. The desire for change and get away and also to exercise myself had me leave Germany in 2001. I arrived to Playa del Carmen in December 2004 as a PADI MSDT.
Since my arrival here in Playa del Carmen I have acquired a profound knowledge about the area while ocean, cavern and cave diving. I have a personal policy of continuing my education and furthering my skills regularly, and staying curious ready to go new paths. This may not be the easiest way but it is always interesting and there are so many things to experience and to learn still.

I have more then approx. 6000 dives all over the world in various conditions; thereof now more than 1500+ full cave dives and 2000+ for guided cavern tours.
I am native German speaker, but equally can teach courses in English and Spanish. My French and Italian language skills are more passive and I understand most of my customers diving-specific questions..
